Ange Richardson

In 1997 I applied for a receptionist position with a real estate company in Dodges Ferry…

I didn’t get the job. They didn’t tell me that straight away, but they simply didn’t have anything better in the way of applicants, so they told me to call back the next day. And I did. This went on for over a week until finally they hired me, & within 6 months I was working as their Assistant Property Manager! Fast forward a few decades, I’m still going strong & so is my love for real estate – it’s all about people, the genuine connections you make & the warm fuzzy feeling that comes from all the good things. It’s not always fun, but that’s mostly in the mornings when I have to get out of bed – I’m not a morning person at all but am happy to work into the wee hours of the night! I wear a few different hats at the office, which is the way I like it. I get the best of all worlds, from property management to sales, from office manager to barista (yes, we have our very own fandangle coffee machine supplied by the boss).

My family life has been just as colourful as my real estate career! After nearly two decades together & raising a blended family of 5 kids, I got engaged on Christmas Day 2021 to my partner Nic (aka Nic-a-knocka) & finally married in 2024! Yet to leave the nest are my two millennials, Liam & Tamzin, who constantly get dragged into working on our “Renovator’s Delight” in Chigwell. Our home is dominated by our cats, Clover, Leroy & Luna – their outdoor enclosure was one of the first projects to be completed… never mind the fact that we still don’t have a cold water tap in the kitchen!

Two of my favourite sayings are: ‘Never a dull moment’ & ‘It’s all good’.

If my body was more flexible & I wasn’t afraid of heights, I would have joined the flying circus.

Lucky for me there was an alternative that suited me down to the ground… it was the Real Estate industry.
